At the end of last spring, we got our first experience with the Dry Step® Thermomat. We have had all kinds of mats on the balcony before, but now that we have tried the Thermomat, we definitely won’t give it up.
The mat arrived quickly, even though it was a custom-made mat. The price of the mat is a bit higher, of course, but the quality and features are worth it. The balcony mat looks and feels high-quality, and it’s really easy to install on the balcony!
The mat came with a mat knife, which made it easy for us to cut the mat. We cut the mat a bit because of the balcony pipes, but it was surprisingly easy and quick. The result was also good.

Thanks to this warm balcony mat, we have used the balcony more actively, well into the autumn. Also, the beige color of the mat has been nicely fresh and makes the space feel more spacious.
Last summer, we ate on the balcony with the family several times. Even though food sometimes dropped on the mat from the kids, the food stains were easy to remove by simply wiping lightly with soapy water. The balcony mat does not collect dirt easily, and if needed, it’s easy to vacuum because the mat stays firmly in place. We have also had balcony picnics with the kids in the fall, and no cold passed through the mat at all, and our little children were comfortable.
For the first time, we feel like the balcony can be used even a little in winter.

Thanks to the Thermomat, we have gained an extra room in our home, as the balcony can be used as additional space even outside of summer. The children have played many times on our glazed balcony, especially on rainy days in summer and autumn. We have also eaten there often and spent evenings with family and friends.
