Installation and maintenance instructions for the terrace floor

When installing a rug on a balcony or terrace, follow these instructions:

Measuring

• For a standard-sized balcony, it is recommended to cut the terrace rug according to the shorter side of the area to be covered, which makes installation and cleaning easier. However, covering larger areas may be easier lengthwise.

• Before installation and finishing, ensure that the backing hole pattern is aligned in the same direction. This ensures a uniform appearance and consistent color tones between the installed rug pieces.

Cutting and Shaping

• Place the rug on the floor with the backing side facing up. Measure and mark the necessary angles precisely with a visible pen. Use a sharp utility knife or scissors to cut the rug neatly and accurately.

Care

Cleaning the rug is simple:

• Vacuuming: Vacuum the rug regularly to remove loose dirt and dust.
• Brushing: Remove dirt by brushing the rug, for example, with a street broom or a stiff broom.
• Washing: If necessary, wash the rug with water at a maximum of 40°C. Avoid chemical detergents that can damage the rug material. Mild soaps work well.

Note! If you install the rug in front of a fireplace, please ensure spark protection according to fire safety recommendations.
